What We Do
To shatter the monopoly over legal knowledge and build a more equitable society, our work focuses on four core pillars:
Accessible Legal Education: We actively campaign to make the law understandable for everyone. Through targeted, multilingual resources across various Indian languages, we break down complex legal barriers for diverse communities.
Mainstreaming Human Rights: We advocate for the integration of international human rights principles into Indian law. By fostering innovative, path-breaking case law in India, we aim to influence constitutional law globally, embracing our role in a continuous, shared learning process.
Sensitization and Advocacy Seminars: We organize specialized seminars designed to highlight and address the unique, systemic challenges faced by marginalized groups, including Dalits, people with disabilities, children, women, and victims of sexual harassment.
Building Community Collectives: To scale the access to justice movement, we foster community-based legal teams and grassroots law collectives nationwide. By connecting local activists with experienced lawyers, we share vital knowledge and practical experience.
Our Vision for the Future
As the access to justice movement grows, it challenges the privileged monopoly over legal knowledge that has long sanctified institutional oppression. When people truly know their rights, they can fight for them. Together, we are dismantling these barriers to build a more just, inclusive, and equitable society for all.
